Thank you for visiting ernielewis.com.  This resource contains useful information about the field of education, soccer, and the music industry.  I have been a technology instructor at a public school, Beardsley Junior High School, in Bakersfield, California, for the last 13 years.  I have also been involved in the music field, professionally, playing in bands (see www.mooseheadband.com), recording, teaching music, selling musical equipment, and writing songs, for over 25 years (see http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ernielewis for some of my YouTube tunes).

Throughout it all, my experiences in education, sports, and music have been great: I have made many friends.  This site provides viewers a quick peek into my life and shares with them the love I have for school, soccer, and music.  I hope that you enjoy your visit.

Rusty's Pizza Parlor Jam

A Bluegrass jam is held every first Monday of each month, beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm at Rusty's Pizza Parlor in the Olive Drive Vons Shopping Center. This is a great jam that has a good turn out and most instruments are represented at each jam. Plus the pizza is good.

Dagney's Coffee Shop Jam

The Dagney's Jam is each Saturday from 2:00 pm until folks leave. It varies in size, but it a real treat to attend.

48 Hour Jam

The 48 Hour Jam is booked for January 8-10 2010. Pickers from all over the state will converge on the Doubletree Hotel for out third installment of this event. Last year we hade approx. 100 pickers attend over the three days and we anticipate this year will be at least that good. Mark it on your calendar and start the new year off jammin'.
